Garden Edging Concrete Mould

We have now completed quite a simple aluminium mould to make flexible LDPE moulds for customers to make their own concrete garden edging.

The tooling was quick and cost effective with the majority of the machining done by the CNC machines. It just needed location, fixing and water holes adding and then polishing to give a really smooth finish, especially on the core side which is where the concrete will be poured.

The mouldings are then bought and shipped to customers to make their own edging pieces. General purpose concrete can be used and placed into the plastic moulds either as a natural colour or with concrete die. A top-tip is to tap the bottom of the mould repeatedly once the wet concrete has been placed in the mould to remove as many air bubbles as possible. This will really help to get a smooth surface on the Victorian style edging tile.

Once set the beautiful concrete tiles can be arranged in a garden.
